Rajma Chawal From Jammu….

Rajma Chawal is something you simply cannot miss when in Jammu. This popular dish comprises of a delicious red kidney beans curry served with aromatic basmati rice. The best red kidney beans are known to be grown in the Bhadarwah district of the Jammu province.  Basmati rice is a variety of long, slender and aromatic rice grains. Cooking includes the boiling of kidney beans till they are tender and release their aroma. It is then mixed with the sauce cooked with onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies, tomatoes and Indian spices. It is served with boiled basmati rice.
