12 Essentials You Must Carry For a Beach Holiday

Whether it’s about the breezy adventures, a romantic getaway, or just unwinding yourself, holidaying on a beach destination is always full of fun and excitement. After you have finalised your plan with your fun-loving beach buddies, it’s time to pack some cool stuff to add that summer sizzle. To enhance your packing and travel experience, here is a list of 12 essentials you should never forget for a sea shore vacation:

1. Sunscreen

This is the very first essential you should never forget for a beach holiday. Vitamin D is good for you but skin problems are not. Go for a high SPF (30 and above) with a separate sun block for your face.

2. Hair Protector

It is equally important to protect your hair from the ultra violet rays of the sun. Grab a hair protector with SPF 30 or above. It can be in the form of hair spray, hair gel or hair cream.

3. Sunglasses

Apart from being great fashion accessories, sunglasses protect your eyes from the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun. Select the shades with UV filter that blocks 99 percent of the ultra violet A and B rays.

4. Water Bottle

Carry a big water bottle to the beach so you stay hydrated and avoid sunstroke. This will also help you save bucks on the overpriced bottled water you get at the beach.

5. Beach Hat

Get that floppy fashionable hat to safely cover your face from the scorching sun. Whether you choose the pressed fibre or straw sun hat, make sure the brim is 4 to 7 inches in length.

6. Beach Bag

Choose a trendy, colourful and oversized beach bag to fit in all your beach essentials. You can choose from a wide range of sailcloth or fine straw bags, or even cotton totes. Avoid leather bags as the sun and saline water can ruin it.

7. Lip Balm

Your lips need some extra protection in the sun. Select a lip balm with SPF 15 and above to protect them from the harmful UV rays. You can choose from a wide range that includes tinted ones with yummy flavours.

8. Insect Repellent

Beach is also a home to various insects including mosquitos. For late night beach parties and sea-side gala dinners, keep an insect repellent handy. You can either use a spray, lotion or insect repellent wrist band. Choose the one that is herbal and made of essential oils.

9. Beach Towel

Carry a vibrant beach towel to relax on the beach without getting sand on your body and hair. A beach towel is around 70 inches long and generally thinner than your bath towel.

10. Waterproof Phone Pouch

Taking your phone for a swim is not a good idea. However, you can cover it in a double sealed waterproof phone pouch to avoid any damage due to water. It will keep your phone safe and dry.

11. Flip Flops

Grab a funky pair of flip flops to match with your dress for that romantic beach walk. Make sure it is equally comfortable and do not rub the top of your feet.

12. Power Bank

Pack a power bank for that extra battery back up, and carry on with your music, selfies and social media without being worried about the phone battery.
